Very Hard — logic-grid deduction puzzle
Rain blurred the group sheet for Gideon, Rodrigo, Torvald and Anacleto, and only scraps of memory are left to rebuild it.
Rain got into an open kit bag, and the group sheet came out as one big blur. Gideon, Rodrigo, Torvald and Anacleto had each captained a side. Each side wore a different shirt colour, finished on a different number of points and scored a different number of goals. The steward still remembers one thing he kept, which he calls the flanking tally. Line the sides up from the fewest points to the most. A side's flanking tally is not its own goals. It is the goals of the sides just before it and just after it in that line, added together. The side with the fewest points has only one neighbour, and so does the side with the most, so for either of them the tally is just that one neighbour's goals.
Read the clues, rule out what cannot be, and prove what must be. Every GRIDIGMA puzzle is verified by a solver that shows the reasoning behind each step, so a solution is never a guess.
