Hard — logic-grid deduction puzzle
Rain smudged the fair's ticket book, so only the talk at the treat stand can tell where Leopold, Lavinia, Lysander and Maud sat.
For one weekend in 1972, a travelling film fair put up its big tent on the fairground. Inside, four little booths stood in a row, running from the entrance to the back. The first and second booths stood up front by the door. The third and fourth booths stood at the back, where the canvas sagged. Each booth played its own short film over and over. By the door, the treat stand had the pretzel and the cola from opening time. The popcorn and the toffee only came later, on the evening van. Leopold, Lavinia, Lysander and Maud each picked one booth, watched one film and carried in one treat. Then the rain leaked through the canvas and smudged the ticket book. All that's left is what people said at the treat stand. Can you put the evening back together?
