Very Easy — logic-grid deduction puzzle
Cake icing has smeared the seating card, so it's up to you to work out where Felicity, Godfrey, Harriet and Isidore sat and which piece each one took home.
The little homewares shop was turning one, so it set up a long party table beside its new shelf of pottery, with the birthday cake at one end. Felicity, Godfrey, Harriet and Isidore each took a seat along the table. The seats were counted from the cake end, so the first seat was closest to the cake and the fourth was furthest away. Each guest also picked one piece from the shelf to take home: a bowl, a mug, a plate or a vase. Then someone put the cake down right on the seating card, and icing smeared most of it. Use what can still be read to work out who sat where and who took which piece.
Read the clues, rule out what cannot be, and prove what must be. Every GRIDIGMA puzzle is verified by a solver that shows the reasoning behind each step, so a solution is never a guess.
